Sports without fans is nothing – EURO 2016
The buildup to watching your football team play can be as intense as it is exciting. It doesn’t matter if you’ve watched dozens of games or just a few, whether you’re young or old.
That’s the sensation the two fans feel in this video as we see a little girl and life-long fan rush to make their way to a football match at the 2016 UEFA European Championship. But, typically, they get stuck in a traffic jam, a nightmare situation when you’re striving to get to the game before kick-off.
No fan wants to miss the start of an important game, especially one that’s part of an international tournament.
Fortunately no less than Cristiano Ronaldo delays the start of the match, waiting for the arrival of the two late fans before he lets the ref blow the opening whistle. The little girl even gets a wave from the Portuguese megastar (what a nice guy he is).
Not everyone is going to be that lucky though when it comes to watching the football in EURO 2016, but fans are certainly going be able to enjoy the matches with like-minded devotees of the beautiful game.
For UEFA EURO 2016 Hyundai have created an online hub, the Hyundai Fan Park, where fans can get involved through games, news and competitions. They could also be in with the chance of winning a Hyundai i20 car between June 1st and July 10th 2016.
Not only that but Hyundai are also creating some fan parks in the offline world too, where fans can get together and enjoy the experience of EURO 2016 on a big screen. There will be one in the Czech Republic and one in London.
Just make sure you don’t get stuck in traffic on the way there. #RealFansFirst
